Win 500 Business Card Magnets from UPrinting (x3)

Even with all the technology out there, no one has figured out a better way to exchange contact information than with a business card. The problem with business cards however is that once the recipient has extracted your information, the card itself tends to end up in the trash, and after a few emails or phone calls, the recipient may forget about you all together. So how do you exchange information with a potential client, prevent them from throwing your information in the trash, and make sure they don’t forget about you, all at the same time? How about give them a business card magnet?

Update: Congratulations Matt (April 12, 2011 at 4:15 pm), Jason (April 12, 2011 at 2:37 pm), and Agustín Morales Vizcaíno! You were all selected as a winner of 500 business card magnets from UPrinting. We will be in touch with details regarding how to redeem your winnings. Thanks everyone who participated!

Business card magnets have all the advantages of a standard business card with one major addition, the ability to stick your business card to any magnetic surface. This means that your information may end up stuck to a refrigerator or any metallic surface in an office, improving your visibility and the life span of your cards. Today, our friends at UPrinting will be giving away 500 Business Card Magnets to 3 lucky Psdtuts readers. To win, all you have to do is leave a comment below and tell us what you would do with your business card magnets.

I run a small hosting company and designs company. Having magnetic business cards to send out with invoices, or pass around to potential clients would be awesome. A fantastic reminder each time they head to the refrigerator to grab a munchy, to head over to Foxyhare.com and check out the services :) My business card design would probably look awesome! Anyways, good everyone. Thanks for the cool comp.

Big fan of PSD tuts, love the site, the information and the knowledge shared by experienced users/authors/artists.

I could say I’m going to use them to expand my business, I probably would.

I could say I’d use them to better network, I will definitely.

I could say it’d give me a creative advantage over someone with b&w card, it would.

But truthfully, I’d use the opportunity to become creative again and try and come up with a design I’ve never used, never thought of, but artistically and creatively is inspiring. I’d use this opportunity to come up with designs, artwork, or photographs that normally I wouldnt use. Basically what I’m saying, I’d take the opportunity and use it to the fullest ability. Thanks

I will give it to all friends, colleagues, partners, clients and tell them that they can stick it to metal surface, and asking them whether they have new ideas in making it more useful. I will also give uprinting twitter address for them to follow so they can contact uprinting when they need it and their followers can find uprinting too.

I would design a promotional card in the style of Magnetic Poetry. Big. Bold.
Then I would hand them out to colleagues, friends, and family… and have them all put one or two up on their company’s break room fridge to help spread the word.

Not only would it be practical for me, it would be fun for everyone else.

I’m trying to find a promo product that will ship with a folder filled with tearsheets of my artwork. This will be my first snail mail piece to introduce my art to potential customers. I want the promo item to be kept on display by the customer. What better item than a business card sized magnet. I would use one of my images and a bit of contact info. Hopefully people will love the image enough to stick the magnet on their file cabinet or fridge!

I’m a graphic designer from Croatia who is volunteering in association Lumiere media. We work on many projects during the year in selection of film and photography. We are non profit association so all the money we get from other resources go on projects. We don’t work for money so we can’t affort any promoting for lumiere media, such as business cards. It would help us to expand our interests with other people who would get business card

One business card I would send to my grandmother, so she could put it on her refrigerator and remeber about me every day and morning, how great and talanted is her grandson.

Two cards I would give to my parents, so they could be proud of me too.

Few cards I would give to my friends just for fun.

Also I would give some cards to my little cousins, they will like to play with them!!!

One of cards I would put on my wall, because it would be my very first card and also it will be a great proof of a new era of business cards.

One card I would bring to school. Soon we will be learning about magnets and it will be an example how can magnets be used.

Rest of business cards I would give to my prospective clients.

    P.S. Sometimes dreams come true…

I’m 17 years old and I’m looking to start my own photography and graphic design studio. I’ve been considering business cards as a great way to get my name out there, but I have had difficulty raising money to get them. I feel that I am very talented and a I have large plans for my future. I want to be famous for what I do and I know I have the potential, I just need to get some footing before I can start moving forward. Most people see that I am 17 and automatically think I am a poor photographer and graphic designer, but I know I am not. 500 business cards could really do the trick to make me look more legitimate and help get my name out there.

    Thanks for reading.

  • http://www.dreamdev.no Simen Aas Henriksen

Other than the normal stuff, I could finally put them everywhere. Like literally, everywhere. I would put my business card on the subway, on signs, metal walls and pretty much every magnetic surface I could find.

It would not be in any way littering, as they can easily remove it and throw it away. But the thing is my cards would look so awesome that people would get their hands on them as soon as they laid eyes on them.

Thanks in advance for winning (?) <3

I am building my business as we speak and will be printing cards very soon! I love magnet business cards! I would definitely love to pass out magnet business cards instead of paper ones. They serve multi purpose, not only can my client find my card when they need it. The magnet is also serving an individual purpose for them.
