Feng Zhu is a veteran concept artist whose list of clients include Microsoft, Electronic Arts, Sony, Activision, Industrial Light+Magic, NCSoft, Warner Brothers, Lucasfilm, Bay Films, Epic Games, and many other top studios. He has also worked closely with well established Hollywood directors including George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, James Cameron, Michael Bay and Luc Besson.     Feng is a conceptual master. I always love looking at his work.

    For those that are interested, Feng has a channel on youtube called FZD School of Design. He does video tutorials that delve into different aspects of concept art by breaking down some of his work. He’s a great teacher and seems like a genuinely cool guy all around.

    Are these create in Adobe Illustrator or are they rendered in Maya or something….cause they are fabulous. I cannot help but stare at them thinking where did it start from the blank white canvas.

      He almost exclusively uses Photoshop but occasionally I’ve seen him use Painter too.
