It’s All in the Eyes: 100 Beautiful Photo Manipulations
The eyes have long been considered the windows to the soul. Photographers often try to focus on a subject’s eyes as a way to add depth and emotion to a photo. But there are still only so many ways you can emphasize the eyes in a standard photo.
That’s where photo manipulations like those below enter the scene. Some are macabre and just a little bit (or extremely) frightening, while others make us think of fantasy worlds filled with fairies and nymphs. And then there are those that are done just to make the subject appear more striking. In any case, all are inspiring and a great place to start if you’re looking for some ideas.

Any tutorials for this kind of manipulations?
I have to say a big chunk of these are a bit overdone, but some are truly beautiful. IE Eyes in the Sky by Damian6347177 – subtle and really nice
Very bored of seeing eye manipulations. It’s such an old technique and in my opinion, not very hard to accomplish.
I always quickly skip to the next image when I see these types of eye manipulations, so needless to say I scrolled to the bottom of the page right away, just to add my 2 cents.

Why is it, that there has only been one tutorial since February 15? Nearly three weeks with one tutorial and all filler can’t be a good sign.

While some of these are actually very well done, it doesn’t take away the fact that they’re eye photo-manipulations. It’s very hard to appreciate them for the reason that they are one of those clichés flooded everywhere. Although not as emphatic with my actions as Sammo, I briskly went through the collection, also out of tiresome for “eye manipulations”.
On a constructive note, eyes are a very good place to start for beginner or learner manipulators. They offer an interesting array of high details (colour, skin, hair, makeup, wrinkles etc.) that you can experiment with, especially with dodge and burn techniques.
Was Deviantart your only inspiration? I mean some of those suck. Why not just devote an article to “100 best deviantart manipulators.”
Okay my body was hurting after seeing some of these. Haha But most of all these are magnificent I really admire the “Lapse” eye.

Nice collection. Some interesting and inspiring ideas. Some creepy and off-putting. And some with watermarks that should have been left out (galleries shouldn’t have watermarks).
After seeing such a collection makes me see (no pun intended) it’s a trick to be avoided as it might already be a hackneyed trick. A good exercise, but not a good portfolio piece.

Some of these are really really beautiful, and some of them are amazing but hidius! The eye with the mouth in it is quit disturbing! All totally amazing though, some real skill is in that list!

Wow, very cool! I was really impressed with some of them. You can’t really say “eye manipulations are so old/done/over/boring” as if you are speaking on behalf of the graphics community, because there are literally thousands of people just coming onto the net, just seeing posted on-line artistic imagery, just buying Photoshop for the first time, just finding out what matte painting and photo manipulation and a half dozen other things are, and to THEM all of this is new. Don’t make the mistake of thinking everyone has the same experiences you have. (Do you say that just to stroke your ego, to feel important? How immature.) These are really fun and give me an idea for a book cover I needed to do. Thanks for posting them Photoshop people!
