Awesome detailing. I think Yum Yum is my favorite.

Awesome awesome work. But the Raptor has 6 legs. Vertebrates evolved from Lobe-finned fish with paired pectoral and pelvic fins. Two sets. Not three. There’s nothing to build a third set from. This always bothered me in film when there would be a dragon with four legs and a set of wings. The wings are the arms. You’ve never seen a bird with 4 legs and 2 wings. Even with concept art and creations you have to be able to explain the science behind it. I’m sure there is science to explain any good creation from a good movie. Like the technology behind the Terminator, Aliens, NOT the flying monkeys Wizard of Oz, Chewy, Ewoks.

Reference ~ The animal kingdom. Darwin’s books. History.

      Insects.

Dude relax, it’s concept art. It does not have to be explained scientifically. That’s the point.

They’re clearly alien dinosaur concepts, why not let the mind wonder free?
What kind of creative are you to held down by reality.

    • John

Insects, yes. But I said Vertebrates. ;)
And guys, I am relaxed. And I fully understand concept art. But when a director, writer, or producer ask you to explain what you created and you say “Dude, relax, it’s concept art. Let your mind wonder free.” they will walk away. Because the last thing they want, is people loosing the immersion of their film by people poking holes in it. This isn’t me talking. It’s not ego. This is years of experience working with Valve and Digital Domain (before it hit the fan), along with others.

I’m just trying help out with a problem you may run into.
