We’re excited to let you know about the latest addition to the Tuts+ family — Mactuts+!

Mactuts+ is focused on teaching you how to use your Mac more effectively, efficiently, and powerfully. You’ll learn about the basics of OS X, how to switch, how to use accessories and time-saving software, work with your Mac in an enterprise setting, and how to save time with advanced productive tips and tricks.

What to Expect on Mactuts+

Mactuts+ is focused on teaching you how to use your Mac more effectively, efficiently, and powerfully. We’ll be covering a wide range of different techniques, and offering advice on everything from customising your desktop and using OS X, to automating complex tasks and delving into Terminal. So whether you’re completely new to OS X or you’re a seasoned pro, we’ve got you covered!

We’ll be publishing a combination of step-by-step written tutorials and screencasts/video lessons. In most weeks we’ll be publishing 4-5 high quality tutorials, so make sure to subscribe to the Mactuts+ RSS feed so you don’t miss a thing.

If you think you have the skills to create a screencast or text and image tutorial for Mactuts+, it’s easy to familiarize yourself with the guidelines and pitch your idea. We’re hungry for user contributions and pay great money for tutorials.

      Envato had a poll where all the users could vote on what the next tutsplus site would be. This topic won and Envato created the website. They just giving their readers what they want.

    So long as you don’t just concentrate on the newer versions of the OS (Lion, Mountain Lion).

    @Sebastian Auth it was odds on that this would be the case and they obviously paid no attention to what members wanted when they asked “Which Tuts+ Site Should We Launch Next?”

    I expected something better… It’s really disappointing that you would like to learn us how to use Mac OS, when I think here – on the site – is lots of Windows users. I am almost sure that the ‘mac Tuts+’ would be less visited of your websites. I really wanted to see ‘craft-’, ‘science-’ or maybe ‘finance Tuts+’, but I never supposed that you release something for so hermetic society.

    Isn’t Mac Appstorm part of Envato? This new site seems like a waste of bandwidth. Anyone dumb enough to require tutorials on how to move within the simplistic OSX environment doesn’t deserve internet.

    Love the haters. You slate anything that Mac related or tuts that doesn’t suit you. I don’t use flash but that’s my own personal opinion.

    Its good envato listen to the community, I see that it will help a lot of people who might need some help with OSX more advance features like terminal, setting up new languages like PHP in terminal, calibration and plist modifications.
