Download Source Files

We have another Psd Premium tutorial exclusively available to Premium members today. If you want to take your hand-drawn art into Photoshop, and learn to combine those hand-traced images, and textures into stunning illustrations, then we have an awesome tutorial for you. Learn more at the jump!

This Premium Tutorial is Filled with Creative Tips

Incorporating hand-drawn artwork with Photoshop is a trend that’s been around for a while. It’s a style that instantly gives your work an edgy feel – and it translates well for both print or web-based projects.

I’ve supplied all the hand-drawn artwork to complete this tutorial, but you’ll learn more and inject some personal flair by creating your own sketches and doodles. As you’ll discover, we’ll be tracing the main image of the model, so you don’t necessarily need to be a talented artist to achieve a great end result. I’ll walk you through all the details of putting this together.

Tutorial Details

  • Program: Adobe Photoshop CS3 or later
  • Program: Adobe Illustrator CS2 or later
  • Difficulty: Intermediate
  • Estimated Completion Time: 4 hours

  2. It’s nice to see different media in a TUT. I’m bulding a website using practically the same technique (with the water colours).

Looks awesome! Just the typography, in my opinion, could be a bit more defined, more feminine and curvy.

Your illustration reminds me of Raphaël Vicenzi’s work. I have a post about these type of watercolor fashion illustrations: http://www.caramelink.com/20-exquisite-watercolour-illustrations

    Hi.

Im stuck with step no.20. I really dont know what I am doing wrong. I used pen tool and select the whole model under substract from path area. But than I dont know what do next. Do I need to use pen tool under Trace layer or Off white fill layer? Do I have to cut or what? My whole paper is seen on the picture.. And if I choose color you prefered and fill the picture .. it cant seem to fill the whole model, but i need to use bucket tool to color it myself. Can somebody help me please.. i really want to learn this.

    I would really appreciate it,
    Thank you,
    deep
