I am a freelance designer living in Romania. I discovered the beauty of design a few years ago. Since then I have dedicated my time to becoming a great designer (work in progress)!

Discover Pro Icon Illustration Techniques

First of all, I would like to thank a good friend of mine Negreu Andreas for collaborating with me and creating this wonderful tutorial. This tutorial is about creating a sports car seat icon using the Brush Tool and a few easy techniques to create more gloss and carbon fiber. We will start the tutorial from a simple sketch and then, step by step, improve the image until we get the result we are looking for. I hope you enjoy this tutorial and the future projects Negreu Andreas and I will work on together.

Ya perspective is off. Top left corner looks strange. Like plastic melting in the sun.

Just by looking at the previews it looks decent at first glance but as “cuddles” also stated the right upper bolster seems to be outta perspective and why do some parts look like shiny vinyl/leather and the others look like soft suede? I thought this was supposed to be a “Glossy Sports Car Seat”? Wouldn’t the whole thing need to look like plastic or carbon fiber in that case?

I’m sure there’s some nice techniques used in the Tut, but I don’t have a + membership so I can only comment on the final product.

As NAF has mentioned we created some glossy parts but also wanted to keep that leather on it as well.

The idea is that it was created for the icon and an icon mat not look too good, so he created a chair glossy idea tutorial is to show how you can make the brush, how not arrange perspective, very nice btw

The guy who made this tutorial should be instructed in how perspective works, evenness is nowhere to be found. Look at the difference between the lower kind of holes, they even have a different angle.
