Discover Pro Icon Illustration Techniques
First of all, I would like to thank a good friend of mine Negreu Andreas for collaborating with me and creating this wonderful tutorial. This tutorial is about creating a sports car seat icon using the Brush Tool and a few easy techniques to create more gloss and carbon fiber. We will start the tutorial from a simple sketch and then, step by step, improve the image until we get the result we are looking for. I hope you enjoy this tutorial and the future projects Negreu Andreas and I will work on together.

Nowadays I hate psd plus tuts! :(
After Become a plusmember I start to love those tuts! :)
Very slick illustration… nice!
Very cool. I’ve always wondered how to create such slick and beautiful icon in Photoshop.
Yep, looks very smooth. Really ought to do this one!
looks alright, perspective and shading is off tho
Ya perspective is off. Top left corner looks strange. Like plastic melting in the sun.
Very nice, love that shiny leathery look :o)
me too and also i love this red! :D
Keep on! i love it ..
Wow, awesome, nice work
Just by looking at the previews it looks decent at first glance but as “cuddles” also stated the right upper bolster seems to be outta perspective and why do some parts look like shiny vinyl/leather and the others look like soft suede? I thought this was supposed to be a “Glossy Sports Car Seat”? Wouldn’t the whole thing need to look like plastic or carbon fiber in that case?
I’m sure there’s some nice techniques used in the Tut, but I don’t have a + membership so I can only comment on the final product.
As NAF has mentioned we created some glossy parts but also wanted to keep that leather on it as well.
The idea is that it was created for the icon and an icon mat not look too good, so he created a chair glossy idea tutorial is to show how you can make the brush, how not arrange perspective, very nice btw
Mommy, want a seat like this one, I WANT!!!!!!
Why don’t you join the PLUS and create one yourself :))

Wow. So many negative comments. I think that people should have their work accessible so they could back up their comments. I think this is great.
Looks great, but this is perhaps the most random tutorial ever. :P
Agreed :P But that doesn’t make sense.. I think a lot of reader will do this tutorial! :D

Excuse me asking me, but u do not you all get bored to reply to all the site? I see everywhere like a reply from you, something ironic sure..
The guy who made this tutorial should be instructed in how perspective works, evenness is nowhere to be found. Look at the difference between the lower kind of holes, they even have a different angle.
Cool My Brother
