How To Create a Striking Typographic Illustration – Psd Plus Tutorial
Aug 19th in News by Alex BeltechiThis Plus Tutorial is Filled with Creative Tips
Rather than fueling the debate of which is better, we're going to use the power of 3D, raster and vector in this almost obsessive typographic treatment. This Plus tutorial relies on the stellar combination of C4D, Illustrator and Photoshop and touches on aspects of 3D Modeling, vector integration, brush work and photo manipulation. This is all coordinated to create a final illustrated typography design.

Looks like a really awesome tut, love the metallic blue shine on the swirls

…interesting! kind of pushes the boundaries of typography, almost anti-typography in the sense you can’t read it very well at all, which is kind of frustrating, but adds a degree of “mystery” at the same time, bit of a puzzle…

Oh I wish I had C4D >.<
Excellent result though. You guys have a huge amount of imagination.
( )omei August 19th
wow! this looks great. i wish i had a plus account.
( )Buster Casey August 19th
Wow this looks like every other C4d tutorial on here.
( )Dast August 19th
It’s so much better when you can actually read it, looks cool but its pretty not so useful.
( )stasia August 19th
good point, Andrew. i still have no clue what the text on the final image is supposed to say….
( )Tebe August 19th
Enough, isn’t it? Correct me if I’m wrong : P
( )Wesley Prince August 19th
Can’t get enough of this
( )Dave August 19th
I think it says, “Can’t Be Enough Of This” (including the see-through words)
awesome effects on the typography itself (with the specularity and 3D), the background however, is basically the same thing that this guy has done four times now.
( )Kieran Innes August 19th
You’re close – Can’t Get Enough Of This.
( )Phenotype August 19th
Actually it’s “Can’t Get Enough Of This”
I’m extremely disappointed with the tuts that require C4D. I come here expecting to see PS tuts and maybe sometimes ones that require Illustrator. Let’s face it, if you have PS there’s a good chance you have Illustrator too, however I doubt most people who have PS have C4D too. I don’t, and so for me this tut is completely worthless.

Cry?
emmanuel August 19th
that is exactly what i was thinking go expand your horizons man!
Phenotype August 20th
Expand my horizons? Congrats, you missed the point entirely.
binggeba August 19th
Yeah, I think it says “Can’t get” For the blocks on the right, Then “Enough” And then “Of this” for the blocks on the left…
But even it’s a little hard to read, there must be some awesome things to learn from it.
( )emmanuel August 19th
are u kidding me i have waited for this tut for so long only to find out that it’s a plus =( kill me now!!!
( )chocoholic August 19th
Awesome tut, only thing is the text is impossible to read,
( )Melody August 19th

( )Dave August 25th
Haha, not only is he a spammer… he is also a thief as adam pointed out! what a chump
( )Roye August 26th
hehe. its ok to follow tutorials if your objective is to learn. and if you post them up, don’t claim the intelligence and creativity as your own. credit your inspiration and sources. geez. even us PS noobs know that.
( )marion August 19th
anyone know how he made the material?
too bad its a plus T_T
i hope they make a plus worthy tut and make it free, just because its their bday

( )Jamie Allsop August 21st

( )OktayOe. August 24th
Is everything for Members now ?
( )Thats sad
Alex August 27th
GREAT tut man! And finally a good introduction to C4D for me.. However I got a question: how long should the rendering take? I used all the settings that you suggest in the tutorial, and it’s allready rendering for more then 11(!!) hours!
( )Shanté October 13th
Very helpful tutorial. Thank you!
