We have another professional Psd Plus tutorial exclusively available to Plus members today. If you want to take your Photoshop photo-manipulation skills to the next level, then we have an exciting tutorial for you. Discover how to combing a plethora of images, while controlling lighting, shadows, and color!
Learn Complex Photo-Manipultion Techniques in this Psd Plus Tutorial
In this tutorial, I'll show you how to assemble a surreal illustration using stock images. Attention to detail and observing how light reacts in the real-world is the key factor when combing multiple photographs – all of which have different degrees of light, shadow and color. You'll make extensive use of adjustment layers to blend them together. You'll also learn some great photo-manipulation techniques along the way, like using selections to create realistic snowfall.
For the complex cut-outs such as the animals it's worth investing, or at least trying a demo of Fluid Mask, which provides comprehensive and easy to use tools that make easy work of isolating difficult areas such as fur. The Fluid Mask website also has some great video tutorials.

Boy oh boy that looks cool, cant wait to run through it this weekend! I’ll try and remember to write what I think of it. Still have a pile of other plus tuts i need to go through.

It’s getting harder and harder for me to turn down getting a Plus membership. Damn you!

Good one!
Looooooooooooooooooooved the outcome!
( )Steve Jabs April 22nd
This reminds me of the poster in 40-year-old Virgin
( )Free CSS Tutorials April 22nd
Wow, looks like a film cover. Fantastic outcome.
( )loswl April 22nd
This looks pretty cool!, love the color tones and the layout of the different pieces, I think some of the layers look a bit flat (not a big deal from afar)
*To solve this issue a small soft brush with medium strength can be used with the blur tool to soften up the edges.
( )David Wood April 22nd
Wish I had a Plus membership. . .
( )Diego SA April 22nd
Excellent artwork! Too bad I’m not a plus member…
( )javiinthezone April 22nd
easy!
( )Brombeer April 22nd
I’m having a Plus Membership right now, but I’m beginning to reconsider it. For quite some time now the Plus tutorials are not exactly Plus stuff, but kind of mediocre. More and more I can’t see why I should pay for them.
( )Make this mediocre stuff regular tutorials, and put some more effort in Plus tuts that are really worth the price. Right now, in my opinion, it isn’t.

Totally agree with this. I almost jumped on the Plus membership, but there lately doesn’t seem to be much criteria on what makes a Plus tutorial a Plus tutorial, as opposed to just any regular tut. What about having something of the quality of the works of the people that are interviewed? How about something more akin to that? These tutorials shown here should be the freebies, and only the truly elite works are the ones that should be paid for.
That’s just my $.02 (as opposed to the hypothetical $78 yearly membership).
( )Robert April 22nd
meh. it had potential but the lighting on the various pieces doesn’t flow correctly.
( )Corey April 22nd
Nice piece. I love the background.
Glad I’m a plus member now
( )Arturo Velázquez April 22nd
mmm it looks good but some lights are not correct and some elements like the tree and the mushrooms doesnt looks good id say it still need more work on it
( )Tom H April 22nd
I agree – small touches are needed here and there, however, a great and pleasing result!
( )Franky April 22nd
Beautiful Tutorial!
( )lucy April 23rd
i hope i was a member
( )Ramon April 23rd
The most part of this is great clipart. If you don’t have it or can’t buy it – this tut is useless unfortunatilly. Though, the outcome is great. Like Animal Planet project intro)
( )Ben April 23rd
Simplistic skills used but a nice result.
( )Chris April 23rd
the waterfall and the wall need better blending IMO
( )Pan April 23rd
Not really a tutorial. More a “how to use bought cliparts” and not worth being a Plus tutorial in my eyes. This section lacks professional editing tipps since a few tutorials. Hope its getting better soon.
( )johnny April 23rd
I like the results indeed however I think overall the quality of plus tuts has dropped alot. The quality of plus tutorials is getting a wee bit sloppy in places.
Get some really fantastic tutorials for plus membership owners.
( )Gyrel Dagooc April 23rd
Owww..I want to see more !!:D
( )Timothy April 23rd
Nice end result
( )Noah April 23rd
I think you’d be better off drawing something like that from scratch rather than trying to stick all these different lite elements together in photoshop.
( )bl4nk April 23rd
the monkey looks very nice (:
( )namd3 April 23rd
Bad clip art usage, no theory, no professional would have this in their portfolio, this tutorial and the appalling typography tutorial also on this page, standards are slacking
( )Kris April 23rd
Good job!
( )underdog April 24th
dont have membership
( )bloO April 25th

( )KHALDUS April 27th
khaldus
( )GREAT! THANK YOU!
Luke April 28th
Looks too much like a cut and paste job. Maybe I will just hang on getting the Plus membership for a while.
( )Yuri Garcia April 29th
I like it.
Iim going get the membership now .
( )npe April 30th
Some of you guys mentioned that the light was not correct in the image. Could you please elaborate a bit more on that?
( )sanhita May 12th
it’s nice on the colour combo part, the images selected are nice to match except some which look pasted and out of the family kinds but the arrangement and the concept is nice
( )sanhita May 12th
ur tuts r nice
