About the Workshop

Building a Career Around Photoshop is a live online workshop that will help you take your Photoshop knowledge and skill to the next level.

Attendees can join in each week, download video recordings of each session, take part in homework exercises, and interact with other attendees, live and from the comfort of your own home. During these workshops we will be covering photo editing and retouching, graphic and web design, user interface design, digital art, and much more.

Each weekly session lasts two hours, giving you the chance to receive live training from one of our post popular and talented authors — Martin Perhiniak. It is an amazing investment in your future career, and we think you are going to love everything we have planned!

    I teach a free to the public, weekly, Photoshop class and would have to say that the biggest ‘oh wow’ moments were probably importing from Bridge with photomerge, creating their own brushes and techniques on how to make cool brushes, new masking techniques, and, of course, the content aware tools. I think that they are starting to do more with photo touch up so this will be a great opportunity to pass info along.

    For me, learning more about image modes and color profiles would be a great help, as well as learning more about the 3D tools. A quick refresh on the smart radius would be nice also.

    I’d love an opportunity to win a ticket and was actually disappointed when I saw the class was sold out. A good topic to cover on tutsplus would be going from paper to screen. Taking a sketch from beginning to end. Something a little more complex than a cartoonish character. You could actually do a series over the course of 4 weeks. Just a thought….Thanks

    About the topic, I think the future Tuts+ Live Workshop should talk about lighting & shadowing effect, Brand identity design (starts from sketch), CINEMA 4D, Editorial design, How to make a creative Layout, How to create my own font, Typography, Composition and specially, how to make idea visible..I think the thinking process is very important to make a masterpiece artwork!

    I have never attended a TUTS workshop before, so not sure what future topics to expect. It seems this one will cover exactly what I need: enhance my skills in Photo Retouch, Photo Editing, Graphic/Web Design, Product Design & Packaging, improving your portfolio, networking with other professionals and how to find a job (since graduated May last year and unemployed as of June).
