Hey all! We have more enhancements in the works for the site. Our development team will be making more upgrades in 2010. We also want to continue to deliver the highest quality Photoshop and design content on the web. We could use your feedback on how we can improve the site? We’d like to know both what we’re doing right and how we can improve. Constructive feedback needed!
We Could Use Your Feedback on Psdtuts+
We want to continue to improve Psdtuts+ in 2010. To do that we need to know how we did in 2009? The year is coming to a close and we could use your feedback on ways to make the site even better? We could use your help in answering the questions:
- What is 1 aspect of the site you love about Psdtuts+?
- What is 1 aspect of the site we could improve on?
Constructive feedback is appreciated and all ideas will be reviewed. We look forward to hearing what you all have to say. If you love this site, then leave a comment to help make Psdtuts+ even better in 2010. Now is the chance to get your requests and feedback in!

1. Love the video tutorials.
2. Would love to see downloadable PSD’s in higher res, that would be more useful right off the bat. The small PSD’s have limited usefulness.
LOVE:
The Tuts about ready-to-print things, they’re rare in the Internet. I love the tutorials about effects used in recent movies too.
IMPROVE:
1. I’d love if the comunity would give some “stars” for the tuts and we can search tuts by the number of stars;
2. I’d love if the comunity could classify the tuts in “begginner”, “intermediate” or “advanced”. It would be good if the author give us this information too, or the basic skills for the tut (as in a recipe).
3. For each tut, a “see more” option, with links for the theme in other Envato’s sites (e.g: When you publish a layout tut, put the link for the coding process in Nettuts)

Thanks for everything and a GREAT new year for all of you!!!
My message wasn’t published… =(
1) Great tutorials, especially love the video how-to’s.
2) Easier and more efficient to navigate (maybe quicker via more results per page) the extensive library of previous tutorials.
Yeah I agree Scope of this site is great. This site is My one and only stop for PS tuts. You people cover quite too much, I mean from latest trends to vintage art. Thanks for posting such great tutorials free.
The country from where I belong, 9$ per month is definitely something but when I’ll be able to earn for myself I’ll buy a Plus account just to support you guys.
I only have one problem, Tuts regarding Photo Manipulations are getting large in no. Instead of doing each and every Manip isn’t it good to post a single tut regarding the important techniques involved in Photo Manipulation and be off with it. That’s just what I think maybe people like manipulation tuts posted on Tuts+ more than I do.
Anyways I love u guys and plz keep posting such beautiful tuts.
I would like to see more about basics of photoshop. For example articles like Photoshop’s Brush Tool – Basic Guide, A Comprehensive Introduction to the Type Tool by Alvaro Guzman.
1)What is 1 aspect of the site What is 1 aspect of the site you love about Psdtuts+?
I love the everyday tutorial and all the free stuffs.
2)What is 1 aspect of the site we could improve on?
what u r doing right now is great so keep doing that, thank you
1) I love the wide variety of authors as they offer different skill sets and interesting tutorials
2) I think your search feature is awful! You should first search through titles for keywords and then tags, and if necessary reduce the number of tags. The other day I search for iPhone (hopting to find a tutorial or two) and I got 4 pages of rubbish barely related to it!
1) !Uh! Everything about this site is amazing lol.
2) A two-tier system. A lot of the tutorials here are down right amazing, others, not to be judgemental or rude, but others… sometimes are not. It’d be nice to see two “areas” I guess. Accomplished, admired artists on one area focusing on advanced techniques, etc. Then more run of the mill type things for everyone else.
I like the concept of mixing free content with plus stuff. Makes the overall quality better and really is affordable.
I would appreciate if the content was organized better. Right now the tutorials are mostly stand-alone. It would be great to have different series of tutorials, which can (partly) build on top of each other. For example a) Typography and layout b) Image composition c) Retouching for ads and so on. What i have in mind is something that is similar to college courses covering different topics in more depth, not only with step-by-step tuts but backed up with theoretical stuff, inspiration and workflow advice.
Your are doing a great job, keep it up!
Here are some suggestions: get Justin Maller to do a tut, make Nic Ainley contribute more… And perhaps you could start a partnership deal with Cartoonsmart.com (Justin Dike)… think OUTSIDE the BOX people…
its very grest site I am lucky to have this site..
Its simply superb..
subbu
1) The user experience, so easy to use and readable.
2) The quality of the tutorials, need more graphically strong tutorials, seem very samey – not as good as they used to be.
- More web design tutorials? Footers etc.
I love the stuff you are doing but
could you find a creative way to cut down on the comments????
Tried posting something similar to this yesterday, but i see it didn’t actually post… :/
I love a lot of things about this site.
i just wish you had a site for purely print tutorials. Where there a tut’s that take you through photoshop, illustrator and inDesign to create print ready artwork. There’s so much that could be done there and there really isn’t an existing resource like it online at the moment. And print is something I know a LOT of young designers struggle with, especially the self taught ones.
This is greate site easy to use and love the tutorials. Myabe offer some free tutorial downloads.
What is 1 aspect of the site you love about Psdtuts+?
Cool tutorials, nice people, awesome contests… is an easy to use web and the comunity link feed
What is 1 aspect of the site we could improve on?
It would be awesome if you create some kind of “forum”, where people can show their works, and get feedback or ask for some help. ‘Cause you can ask for help in the tutorials, and maybe somebody answer you, but is disorganized.
Thats my humble suggest
Keep the good work guys, and happy new year!
I like that idea that would be my request
i prefer a quicker one step submit button for community link feed. And i want to see comment from author highlighted to make it easier to find.
i also want to see forum. where we can add some simple tuts or asking questions. We all know community is the most important thing here.
I want more tips for processing photos. Effects and stuff.
Stop writing about “how to create icons” please.
best regards.
More website layout tutorials! As a programmer those are my bread and butter to actually learning photoshop
I think every tutorial should have a video with it.
* What is 1 aspect of the site you love about Psdtuts+?
Its simple and clear layout.
* What is 1 aspect of the site we could improve on?
Prefer quality to quantity. Some tuts in here aren’t that usefull/pro-like.
• So many good tutorials… I really love them because I can practice my skills..
•Availability of some tutorials. I’m not plus.. but I really want to see those tutorials…
1) I just love how this site looks very easy to navigate and find anything that the user wants.
2) I think the comments for any article/tutorial should be paginated as it does slow down the loading of the link.
1) Navigation to perfection.
2) More tutorials on Poster Making, and Typography.
Comments can be made as a tab, because loading all of them takes quite alot of loading time, considering there are several pictures to load for each tutorial.
1) I absolutely love the design of the sites on the Tuts+ network
2) One specific thing that irks me is the pagination. I think that the NEXT button should definitely be bigger than the LAST button. Half the time, I’m always clicking on huge LAST button instead of the tiny NEXT button when all I want to do is go to the next page. I’m going to assume most of your users want to go to the next page instead of the last.
Overall, I really love the site and the great content you guys put out.
Hey the site is great and there’s 100 things I could say good…
but there is one “minor” issue I’v seen of late; when there is an article with an extreme amount of comments (ie:post to win), the page has a hard time loading in my browser, and when it does it never runs smoothly. Really for me these posts with upwards of 800 comments is not viewable.
This issue is not hard to resolve (see youtube for one way of doing it) and I hope you guys will.
Keep up the good work!
-D.C.
1) Free tuts (in <3!)
2) Packaging! Where is the packaging design on this website!!?? Rendering your own packaging materials…glass, plastic, metal….etc….elements! Layout for packaging!
I'd also like for you to work on giving me a tutsplus membership because I'm special, an overall good person and more importantly–jobless. Thats all the reason you need….lol…..
Keep up the work! Awesome!
What is 1 aspect of the site you love about Psdtuts+?
The cleanliness and the entire content. Needless to say the cool tutorials and various linked things bringing the designer into a totally “new place”
What is 1 aspect of the site we could improve on?
I think if there were more “signature business” (small art, photoshop signatures/tags) going on, it would bring many more “visitors”
