1) I love the everyday tutorial and all the free stuffs.
2) Post more about making layouts and design (cereal-box, DVD cover, magazine cover, flier, and commercial ads, show poster(especially party posters) and so on)
(What u doing for everyday is fine, so just keep doing whatever you doing)

Written tutorial to a Video tutorial. awesome!
What is 1 aspect of the site we could improve on?
Let tuts psd source file be downloadable. XD
If the tuts is awesome and cool, make it not.
I agree that I love the video tutorials that appear around once a week, but I’d also like to see them published more often.
Thanks
Love – Definitely the community feedback on this site. I think many designers have taken just as much from community feedback as with the tutorials given.
Work – Quality of “beginner” tutorials, usually the advanced designers come with wicked tutorials but many beginners to design seem to submit tutorials. I’m sure it’s not the easiest thing trying to weed out what’s quality, but I seem to notice that a common issue is a misunderstanding of some very basic design principals.
Basic stuff that could turn even beginner tutorials to extraordinarily beneficial ones..
I shall definitely look forward to submitting some stuff in the new year…
Keep up the great site!
would like to see psd tuts in new wordpress theme with use plugins to convert your blog post into pdf format so it can be saved for offline purpose because i am having a slow connection and sometimes images are partially seen or partially loaded i have to use refresh lots of time
post every day or weekly with inspirations and freebies
Plus members can download all the tutorials.

So much great tutorials to almost every topic! Great!

You should connect the marketplaces with the tuts-network so we can buy plus memberships direct on ThemeForest or ActiveDen etc..

What is 1 aspect of the site you love about Psdtuts+?
I guess it would have to be the site’s design. It’s sleek and works.
What is 1 aspect of the site we could improve on?
Whenever I give this site to my friends, who are trying to start on Photoshop, they are having a hard time comprehending the site. Might be nice to release an “Absolute Beginner’s Guide” screencast series like those in Nettuts.
I second to that!
I think it would be nice if tutorials can be filtered into beginner/basic and pro/advanced. . .
I second that too!
What is 1 aspect of the site you love about Psdtuts+?
Great content on a regular basis.
What is 1 aspect of the site we could improve on?
I’d realy like to see more contests, tha last 2 were not as good as expected
and the timeline between them is quite big, id like to see more contests in more creative areas of design.
I love the freebies and the web design tutorials!
But it would be great if there were more video tutorials! :)
What do I love?
Great tutorials from this site and the broader Tuts network, along with the spotlights on designers that inspire and stimulate my creativity.
Where to improve?
After having a good think the only thing that I’d suggest is the functionality to filter the tutorial content by level of difficulty eg. “Noob, Beginner, Intermediate, Designer, Expert, Uberdigitalartistwithwaytoomuchtime” etc.
Hope that’s helpful guys! Keep up the excellent work :o)

Post Fresh Content and offer free PSD downloads on free tuts.
i love the website, hard to pick just one thing.
I’d like to see more tutorials that focus on illustrating that looks hand drawn instead of the photoshop perfection that is standard.
also a download this post option, or a print option. sometimes i l just need the tutorials in front of me printed out in order to make following them in photoshop practical because i only have 1 smallish monitor in my setup.
What I like is your very good, professional content.
What would be great to see is how you guys can handle with GIMP. More tutorials on GIMP would be of big value for GIMP community. And yes, I know it’s PSDtuts :). I just had a dream… :)
Great Website!
Video Tuts are the way to go – definitely..
Thing i love about psdtuts:
The great quality of the tutorials. for example most tuts are real detailed and give background on the tools used. Therefore making people who follow them getting more acquainted with the tool by learning the story behind them.
Thing that I think needs improvement:
I would like to see some more tutorials about creating awesome things using custom shaped and cutting them up the way the designer want.
Im trying to figure it out myself for a while now but cant really seem to get the hang of it.
Guidance from these great designers would be much appreciated ;)

The community is great, the authors are good, content is perfect in every way.
What is 1 aspect of the site we could improve on?
Tuts+ podcast. There are only two episodes.
We want to see the french version of the site very soon.
I think what’s so good about this site is the diversity in tutorial, as in there are so many end result which are all so very different.
However what I believe that this site needs improvement in, is the beginners tutorials, really for the people who know nothin about Photoshop. Also series would be nice, a series of retouching, a series of 3d etc.
What is 1 aspect of the site What is 1 aspect of the site you love about Psdtuts+?
- Love the varied nature of the tutorials that are posted. They’re all helpful to me in some way (even the beginner ones), well at least about 95% of the time.
What is 1 aspect of the site we could improve on?
- Poorly explained and executed Tuts in terms of print design.
It would be great to see a Print dedicated(Printtuts+?) site in the future with well written tuts for print. There is really no resource like this online at the moment. Something combining all the steps (in ALL the programs) to really make print ready files properly & keep your printers happy. Be it for a magazine ad, flyers, posters, product packaging (would give an opportunity to get into complex dielines & bleeds) etc.

the variety of content on a regular basis.
What is 1 aspect of the site we could improve on?
the type of tutorials , since i noticed you are only publishing tutorials with new techniques but not impressive result, … we do appreciate the new techniques, but what makes someone do a tutorial from start to end is the promise of making something GREAT and Pro-like at the end.
so i think it would be great to feature more tutorials with simple techniques and great results, also maybe post the submitted tutorials pitched for the public to decade if they should be written and published or not,
since ive seen some rejected tutorials that are really awesome, or at least better than http://psd.tutsplus.com/tutorials/text-effects-tutorials/how-to-design-a-print-ready-flier-with-photoshop-and-illustrator/
finally i want to thank you all for the great job you did, and wish you a great and successful year of 2010 :)
1. Love most of the tutorials! Some of the best on the web. Really love the web roundups, too.
2. I love “most” of the tutorials. Lately they have been really poor quality. The finished product does is far from finished and the techniques used are half-assed. Be a little pickier with your tutorial selection. Less is more! I’d rather get no tutorials for 3 days than get 1 shitty one every day.
I definitely like the slik and lean design, but I miss some sort of customizable rss-feed and/or newsletter. I’d like to mix content from nettuts, cgituts and psdtuts to my liking…
* What is 1 aspect of the site you love about Psdtuts+?
I love the variety of artists that contribute to the tuts and the highly professional approach of most of the designers.
* What is 1 aspect of the site we could improve on?
As a plus member I would like to see the usability of the site improved. As it is now, the plus area and the tutorial and content area are way too seperated, if you know what I mean. I would love to see a tut, simply login and download the file right away. As it is now, when I find an (older) tut, I first have to log in, click another link to see the plus content, search for the tutorial and then download it. Takes way too much time…
quantity ≠ quality !
at the beginning of this site the tuts were great, but i think the quality spirals downward.
i love this site but recover the quality, please. not 5 tuts for the same subject, like “How to Create Glass Transparency in a Cute Photo Manipulation”, “How to Design a Print-Ready Flier with Photoshop and Illustrator”, “preview
Blend a Planet Transparently into a Photo Manipulation” and so on.
thx

More raffles, contests, and give-aways. I think your sponsors would kick-in for the extra publicity and readers definitely would look forward to it.
What is 1 aspect of the site you love about Psdtuts+?
The fact that I can check back almost every other day and see great new content up.
What is 1 aspect of the site we could improve on?
I’d like to see more contests involving design, rather than just “all you need to do is leave a comment”
For example, the movie poster contest you had a while back.
Pro: Details, steps and images/screenshots
Con: Would like to see some generic Tuts, like for use with Gimp. Non-PSD specific… Because I don’t have PS (yet I do subscribe to this blog and adapt the tutorials for my own use…)
I love the tutorials. They are clear and concise and easily put together for anyone to understand.
One thing that could be improved is letting anyone download the most popular tutorials – but the tutorials only. Not the files and video. Other than that, keep bringing more great tuts!
1. The diversity of topics that the tutorials cover.
2. Quality Control… They should meet or exceed the quality of your stuff mate! That’s a good place to set the bar.
less video tuts, more textbased tuts, especially on nettuts. Or, combine text and vids. Isn’t just because of copy and paste the code, it’s because of understanding a tutorial for non-english people. English hearing is much more difficult than reading english text.
And – as a really big goal: Translate your sites and tuts into more languages :D you even placed a “language switch” feature in the head of your sites some months ago, but nothing hapened yet. If you need help (english -> german), feel free to ask.
What is 1 aspect of the site you love about Psdtuts+? I love the design and how it is so easy to navigate and how it is interlinked with the other tuts+ sites.
What is 1 aspect of the site we could improve on? Categorise a bit more. Looking through 34+ pages of tutorials just to find 4 things out of those 34 pages that you need is a tad bit tedious. (Only a tad bit) Categorise it a bit more like when something is posted, you could have a typography section, making icons section etc etc so its easier to find what you need.
All in all I love this website and its usually the first one I come to when looking for help in Photoshop and the resources provided are perfect!
Taaaaaaaa~ Yui!
I love the way you can easily sort through all the content on the site, but at the same time I think it could be improved. Maybe you could add a few different filters to sort the site and content like, most viewed, top rated, difficulty levels, etc!
I love the way you can easily sort through all the content on the site, BUT at the same time, I think some improved filters could be added, such as most viewed, most downloaded, top rated, difficulty level, etc. Anytime you can help users find exactly what they are looking for, in the quickest, most timely fashion, you have a even better user experience with the site. Great work so far, looking forward to bigger and better things in 2010!
For some reason I am having trouble posting to this site, please take a look into this…
I had same problem too :(
Like: the Plus program, just keep expanding it somehow.
Work on: Some of the tutorials are a little weak. I used the full log in system and forgot to check the comments and left my logins exposed…cuz I am a noob. Thusly, I’ve been dealing with hackers for 2 weeks now.
Noobs have feelings too.
perhaps a rating system for the tuts. better rating, more money for the author.
less rating, less money.
this would improve the quality from the tuts. (the quality of the tuts was good at the beginning but know degrades)
and:
quantity ≠ quality
Gift cards! – Some way to give Tuts+ as a physical gift. I guess an e-gift could suffice.
I also agree with the above poster, Offline Tutorials would be nice.
more articles about websites
less interviews
the same i’ve said on vector tuts+ =)
What is 1 aspect of the site you love about Psdtuts+?
The quality content
What is 1 aspect of the site we could improve on?
It would be great if you take two ways to show the tutorials: the current way (html text) and videotutorials for all and each tutorials… This will really help all the audience in general terms and specially when in the tutorials are used other softwares like maya, modo or others.
i would like to see tutorials with results that could be applied in different media and not only fantasy art, tuts using the colors and textures of the newest trends, and would love to see the same number or advanced tutorials than beginners.
I like the interviews and recopilation of the best websites of the month cause its a good source of inspiration and new ideas. mmm and maybe more contests ))
thx for the hard effor u guys put in here ))
What I like is just about everything. I did read about some advanced users not liking the ‘beginner’ tuts. As a beginner, I’m gonna flip-flop on that sentiment.
Perhaps Tuts+ could make a tab system where beginner tuts are over here while the more advanced stuff is over there? Something to that effect.
I also love the idea of tuts content where you could see the average dvd, cereal box, etc.. layout.
more video tutorials. I think they really help out for visual learners.
I thought I posted a comment…’
anywho, yea – a tabbed system linking users to different levels (noob, advanced, etc…) of whatever tuts are available.
No free PSDs. Some of us paid for this content.
Also, indesign tuts (boxes, cd/dvd covers, etc…) would be nice for those of us with a printing inclination.
Love the detail of the tutorials.
You could improve by having the tutorials in categories like beginner intermediate etc
You should offer a design competition among the readers, not the masters.
I just love the fact Tuts are there and motivational on a multi level daily, I can always find something to start my day. No excuse for not creating or trying something new. Interviews and free downloads can (sometimes) be inspirational.
It is difficult to suggest how you could improve anything, however there is always room for improvement and I have seen much growth since using Tuts. I think I have to agree with those who voted for morer video tuts.
Thanks
Well, I love PSDTUTS in general. It’s a great service. My only gripe is the tutorials that are combos of Photoshop and another program. It’s disappointing seeing a great tutorial at first glance but then finding that you need Cinema 4D or some other program you don’t have. It’s PSDTUTS and it should stick to photoshop. Especially now since the launch of CGTUTS. Those kinds of tutorials belong there.
I’ve been following this site since about the time that Collis had purchased it but sadly I’ve never once commented until now.
I can say that this site has done a wonderful job at delivering some great tutorials that have added some nice tools and techniques in my use of photoshop.
In terms of tutorials I personally don’t look so much at learning how to duplicate a final outcome but rather try to learn techniques that I can add to my own projects.
One aspect that I would like to see, although this might not be feasible since this is strictly a photoshop site, would be how you can maximize the use of all adobe products to complete projects. I know not everyone has all adobe products, but for those that do they know that photoshop is rarely the only tool used to complete a project.
Keep up the great work and I wish you much success in 2010!
