Tutorial Removed

Share

Unfortunately, the Psdtuts+ staff have had to remove a recently published Plus tutorial, as the final artwork closely resembles an artists existing work. When this situation occurs, unfortunately, the tutorial is removed and payment is not made to the author of the tutorial. Claims of plagiarism are taken very seriously and thoroughly investigated on this site and always something to be aware of. We appreciate the communities diligence in catching this and have removed this tutorial from the site. Thanks.

To avoid this situation, be sure to always credit your work with any influences, then we can determine accurately whether the proposed tutorial concept meets our site requirements prior to publication – learn more about creating content for Psdtuts+. Also, in general, avoid mimicking other artists work, especially closely mimicking one artists specific work. We’ll all be influenced to some degree, but the goal here is original artwork, and not recreating someone else’s art.

is that fault does not affect the tut that I think is still very good,

You can create something better than this with easier techniques.

I’m not surprised tutorial posts are slowing down lately. Comments here at PSD tuts are so negative recently, what’s with this depressing vibe the last few months. I for one really appreciate the work that goes into writing tutorials, please keep it up.

There is nothing wrong with constructive criticism but unless you are prepared to do better yourselves I’d be inclined to keep the useless negative comments to yourself.

Agreed. Negative and uninformative comments abound. I’m also getting tired of people who are obviously commenting everything on this site just to advertise themselves.

I didn’t get a chance to see this before it was removed, but if it’s as identical to the one on 10Steps as people claim, I’ll stick to that one.

Glad to see this removed, whoever let this in was clearly unaware of the issue that many of you guys reported, which is why we have a fantastic tutorial.

I hope he did not get his money.

Why not leave the tutorial up without payment? It’s not much of a punishment to take it down without payment.

i really enjoyed this tutorial and inspiration and im very sad that its deleted now. it motivated me todo more and it was by far the best tutorial over the last month here.
it was very detailed and motivated me todo some works in photoshop again, and this doesnt happen that often.

to me it wasnt plagiarism, now i have to search another tut for this. hope the tuts+ is getting better soon

It would be nice instead of just outright removing the tutorial, explaining what the tutorial was, and what it plagiarized. To prevent comments like this, and to give credit to the original artist. Thank you, Thank you very much.
