Hello everyone, we wanted to let you know about a project called Run Your Jewels. Run Your Jewels is a digital media remix competition that is curated by Depthcore’s Justin Maller. Every two weeks, a different artist uploads high resolution files of an original piece that you can remix and submit as an entry. Round Three of Run Your Jewels is now live featuring source artwork from Matei Apostolescu. I guess I’m confused are those any rules for it. What constitutes a remix. All the images don’t use all the source material and some don’t seem to use any of the source material. Do you have to use a certain % or the main jist? any help would be appreciated.

Andrew: the pieces in the round two gallery all used the source material that was available for that round. We have moved on to a new round, and now there is new source material. These submissions for this round will be posted tomorrow.
There’s no fixed percentage, the crazier you go the better.

Actually, that top one is just an aggregate for times the site itself has been tweeted. Once the rounds are complete and form their own galleries, we give them a new tweet button so people may view the submissions.

I see that entries for this round are closed but I was very excited to have a go at remixing mateis piece for the fun of it. Is it still possible to download the source file?
