I love being a graphic designer because I get to help business owners look professional!

  3. I’m a graphic designer because….
I design to upset the equilibrium, to inspire, to service, because I was created to do so.

You wear many hats as a graphic designer. This is the thing that makes me love being one. I get to work with a variety of my passions including illustration, photography, typography, and a little web development on the side. It’s really the best profession for me and I had a little bit of help finding it. In fact, my father is a graphic designer doing the variety of work that I’d like to be doing in my own career. That’s not the end of it though… My little brother is also a graphic designer! He’s in the same program I graduated from just a few months ago. So you can see, graphic design is not only my passion, but also a family affair!

i love being graphic designer because “A picture is worth a thousand words”

  6. Ben says:

I love being a graphic designer because it forces me to better myself, something I produced months ago and thought was amazing becomes mediocre, the amount of inspiration around you is like no other profession, you can be inspired anywhere, and time and in any situation.

The bigger the inspiration, the heavier the push to your desk to create something you are ‘over the moon’ with in the end, something you will then probably look back on and want to improve on, and it’s no wonder with the resources, blogs, design publications and inspiration sites that are around…

It’s a constant movement of improvement, inspiration and enjoyment, I couldn’t do anything else…

I’ve been designing graphics for about 3 years now but I have never been the best and I know it. I have loved every minute of it, My graphics let me express my feelings in an artistic form giving others the option to enjoy it. No matter how much I have learned in my 3 years I have never stopped learning nor have I ever thought about closing my doors of knowledge I am always learning new things.

I love being a graphic designer becasue I think of it as the 21st Century form of art.

Throughout history, there have been really good painters, but as technology has improved so has art, so graphic designing is combining both art and technology.

It also gives you the freedom to express your mood, feelings or empotions in an easiest way.

And the best part of it is that there is no age limit! I am 15 years old and I can be a graphic designer!

  10. Helder Silva says:

Writing about graphic design is like asking a writer to draw about writing. I love graphic design because I always think with images. It’s only when I can express all those images through some form that I feel realized. So in writing this comment I keep thinking about how an image could be formed with these letters, the secret code I’m creating with all the second syllables, the unconscious instructions for the reader to check his window and get a glimpse of all the graphic design that is happening outside. I might even put links, to all my blogs, sites and all the shameless self-promotion I could remember and prove that I’m a genuine artist. All of those devices, all of those images would not describe the feeling that is designing; it would only show the level a dedicated, self-taught and committed to design someone can reach. I need that image, to surprise and inspire and you need to imagine it in these words, like something exploding in front of your eyes, all these tiny letters on the screen attacking the optic nerve and unleashing a electrical brainstorm in your brain. You need to see it with me. And you know I’m not a big writer so I could never describe that image worth a thousand words, that image I’m thinking right now about how I feel about designing. And yet you realized how much I love being a graphic designer :-)

    All the best

  11. Hello guys ! There are many interesting stories here and all of them deserve a chance. I’ve read some of them and I was surprised to see people feeling the same about graphic design as I do. For me graphic design is a way to express myself, my feelings. It all started as game than became a hobby. In a short time I could do things I’ve never dreamt about. It’s a great feeling when finishing a project/work. I can not say I’m good or experienced. I’m still learning and I hope eventually I’ll get better at this. Why I should get this ? Well as I said maybe there are many people here that deserve this more than me. I can say that this prize will help me getting the resources to continue my graphic design study. I live in a country where the possibilities of graphic design aren’t the best. With these funds I could get myself the software and even the hardware I need. I need a new computer cause my old one is getting imposible and also a part of this money could help my familly too. Well I just hope that the one that deserves the most should win this. I know this would help me fulfill my dream. Have a nice day :) !

I love being a graphic designer because I don’t have to wear a suit and return to a grey cubicle every day of my life praying for a mid life crisis and counting down the days to my retirement.

  13. Robin says:

Well, I want to be a graphic designer, because I love the design, inspiration life… I want to design the things that inspire me, the things that I dream for, and make them real.

  14. Ariyo says:

it is a tough question, I’ll put it in couple of sentences:
Graphic design flavors my senses, Sweetens my disposition, stirs my imagination & nourishes my dreams.

  16. Aamir says:

I believe that to become a good Graphic Designer You must have two things first skills to use designing tool and second the creativity. And both of these things go side by side. If you are a good creator but don’t know how to use a tool to get what exactly you want then your creativity is of no use similarly if you know the tool very well but not a good creator of unique art then this tool skill would not go with you longer.
