well…87.5%…the mask color always tricks me…I never know if it’s a white or black
i also 87.5. I think Level and Curve can be used to control WHITE BALANCE. Does’t it?

Who is Martin?
Um… your quiz is wrong. Just finished the Basix. Tutorial called ‘Part 5: What does A Histogram Tell Us’ and ‘Part 8 Adjustment Layers’.
Let me quote Martin: ‘With levels you can easily adjust the white and black points in an image …’
and from Part 8 Adjustment Layers, ‘If we increase the points (on levels) we can always adjust the brightness and contrast using levels.’
In Fact Martin encourages using levels to work with B/C and doesn’t use the B/C layer to adjust white point in any tutorials.
So it’s a stupid quiz but at least get it right. Come on!

B/C is not at all a way to control the hue or colour temp in your image. It controls brightness and contrast hence the name. Levels/Curves would be the best option.
Do I get 100% for correcting your questions? Or at very least, for correcting your “teacher” ? Make this ‘Martin’ sit this test please.

Seriously? Martin Perhiniak, who recently presented a (now) 29 part tutorial on the “basix” of Photoshop. Now lest I sound all high and mighty, I only scored a 75%. I suppose I should have paid better attention while viewing said videos. lol

I love how seriously some people take these quizes! I knew I would get the Martin one wrong, my data cap doesn’t allow me to watch streaming videos willy-nilly, so I often miss out on the tutorials that are solely video.
