We all need to jump right on this awesomely hot trend… of wanting to save the planet and it’s fragile ecosystem from doom.

    OMG Like, totally you Guys!

Excuse me now while I go convulse in a dark corner somewhere.

  4. Dom says:

oh, FFS. Can you please stop wit the damn web roundups? they, along with interviews, seem to be the only things posted now. there are two tutorials on the front page. two! please, stop with this pointlessness and actually post some tutorials. thanks.

  5. Oba says:

Global warming is overated, but thats an awesome compilation (apart from number 5, seems like it was thrown in for a joke)

  6. Miha O says:

The water reflection in the mountains tutorial is pretty good and pretty unique. Also, the football field grass effect is pretty tight.

    thanks mr outlaw.

  13. Chad says:

  14. jbcarey says:

6 9 12 18…. really good stuff, but some more tutorials would be nice.

  15. Adam says:

It’s for a good cause, slightly. But I don’t think this post is very good, not as good as some of the other compilations.

However, ‘green’ design, and green this and that is looked upon highly in the public’s eyes, is a designer ACTUALLY doing anything to save the planet by creating a green design, or is he/she just trying to get positive feedback through looking as though they care?

Yes you could argue that they are ‘raising awareness’, but come on, this as been going on for years. I highly doubt awareness can be raised anymore!

I recycle practically all my waste, and so does my housemate. Down the side of our detached house, it’s practically like a recycling centre (in England, councils proved separate coloured bins for glass, metal, cardboard and plastic, which are then collected by recycling trucks, part of your council tax) – anyway – If that designer is doing their bit by picking up litter, recycling their waste and doing nothing of harm to the environment, then they are contributing to the slow down of global warming – however, they are not doing anything by simply creating a green-themed design.

Well, that’s just my humble opinion.

  16. Adam says:

Also, @Dom, that’s exactly what I said in the past web round up thing with 50 dirty grunge effects, It is going beyond a joke now. It’s gone from those hard-earned, time consuming, professional and tutorials of superlative quality, to someone sat at their computers writing a list. Whoop Whoop. A list. You know what, i could use Notepad to write a list, it doesn’t tell me how to use photoshop! Which, according to the About page is not what PSDTUTS is set out to achieve –

“PSDTUTS is a blog/Photoshop site made to house and showcase some of the best Photoshop tutorials around”

This isn’t a tutorial to me. Bring back the good stuff Collis!

  17. Jimi Ninja says:

Yay for roundups saving me internet footwork…
