nice to see a skateboard company on the list… this is an awesome collection, thank you! This is the kind of stuff that made me want to get into graphic design in the first place. The Pepsi H2OH ad is a complete rip of an ad done for Norwegian bottled water company, Voss. Literally a copy paste job. Hence I doubt very much that is an actual ad for pepsi… Either way, stolen work shouldn’t be complimented, although it was a nice implementation.

Also Pirelli has been using that fist & tires thing for decades, I’m fairly sure they started doing that a while before Photoshop even existed.

I’ve been reading PSDTUTS for a while and have learned a ton from this site! I think every comment possible has been made, but i agree with a few people. Photoshop wasn’t the be-all end-all of these works. I think maybe calling them the “top 40 CG rendered images” would be more appropriate. Good collection though.

Artistically speaking, some of those were awesome, but I wonder how many of them actually do what advertising is supposed to do, i.e. sell something. I might take a double look at the art but I wouldn’t purchase any of those products based on those advertisments and I wonder how many are actually generating a decent ROI, should the goal of them have been to actually sell products.

These are pretty interesting. I guess since technology advances so much, so does the strength of advertising. Ad agencies need to keep on their toes to keep up with it, but they have been doing a great job so far, at least in my opinion.
