Yes, there are pretty good artwork here, but I just have to laugh out loud on the 19. called Sound. Just look at that stomach. It’s something you would put up on PSD, it’s so so overdone.

Joke’s on you. That’s actually an illustration, not a retouched photo.

believe it or not some people actually do use PS to illustrate. Just because it is an illustration does not mean it has to be made in Illustrator. I think it was a reference more toward the style than the application used. (read between the lines).

it’s a great PS piece, kudos to the artist.

It’s not the stomach that gets me… it’s the eyes. There’s something wrong with them.

It’s awesome nonetheless, and I disagree with you.

Can someone tell me how you can have the same “grain” or details as “6. The Flag in Berlin”, is it because he used a great resolution and sized it down ?

No. 11 is just like the previous tud (Design a Colorful Illustration Using Patterns and Shapes) that was so much criticized for not being art, having no concept and so on. Here the same style (probable created by the same person) is presented as a great work. Nice example of how different opinions can be

Giant mutant centipede and The Village are really the best works in this series.
I do too much photo manipulation in school , so those I didn’t mention, aside from the Sonic piece, which I could list as well, don’t catch my eye that much, not saying they aren’t amazing works, because the title got it right, it is just nice to see what an illustrator/designer can really do and those aforementioned pieces are the silver lining.

    ramble much?…yeah…<3

OMG “The Flag in Berlin” & “The End, The Tsunami” are ILL!!!!!

Why can’t we have some Photo Manipulation tuts on those instead of those “dreamy forest creature scene” ones. :/

    Your work is dope!
