Inspiration: 50 Digital Dragon Paintings
Dragon myths date back at least a few millennia. They come from a wide variety of cultures: Chinese, Sumerian, Assyrian, Babylonian, and European. As a result, dragons are a subject of fascination for many children and adults alike.
Below are 50 excellent digital paintings of dragons. Most follow the European/Middle Ages dragon tradition, although some are more obviously influenced by traditional Chinese dragons. All have exceptional detail, depth, and artistic merit. Use them as inspiration for your next digital painting or project.

Oh my god. This is really the stuff that I am amazed by, because god knows something like this must’ve taken months to make. I know I never could have spent that much time one one thing.
These are really cool! I watch these people on Deviantart. There is alot more from these artists. There’s also tons of tutorials on how to draw dragons like this on Deviantart.

Sadly, Ciruelo don’t use digital techniques to draw is amazing dragons, I would love to see one of his dragons here (he is one of my all-time fantastic art artists :) // Triste, pero Ciruelo no usa tecnicas digitales para dibujar sus asombrosos dragones. Me encantaría ver alguno de sus dragones acá. (él es uno de mis pintores fantásticos favoritos)

There is no doubting the awesome talent of the artists who created these drawings. They are quite spectacular. However, they are all incredibly fearsome looking. What if, there really were dragons…and they all looked a bit like…well…Barney ;)

Some of these drawings are amazing, credit should be given as it is very difficult to draw something that doesn’t exist. Even though dragons can sometimes be seen as uncool subject matter. Id say some of these are definitely cool i especially like The Abstract Dragon by Livingrope.
