Whats awesome is about half of the backgrounds can be created for almost exactly FREE using PSDTUTS and ABZUEEDO (sp?) tutorials.
Agree, and as far as I remember, Envato rules forbid to sell graphics based on tutorials.

Someone should register a domain and fill about 10k px by 10k px with that. I wonder how many machines would still be able to handle that load.

I added a Twitter background to Graphic River, I hope to start a trend. I’m thinking about purchasing the web 2.0 backgrounds, as they seem to be somewhat of a trend.
Too those complaining, though I too would like to see more tutorials, this is Graphic Design Week, not Graphic Design Tutorial Week. I believe it is up to the discretion of the Tuts network to decide what they want published.
Even I dont have the money to buy them, very inspiring.

I loooove the articles and tutorials here on all the TUTS network but this is ridiculous.
It might be an advertisement, but the backgrounds displayed here are pretty good.
I can guarantee if all of these were free you’d have a completely different tune.
Only thing that sucks about buying and using these is that people will know where they’re from and/or they could see other stuff out there with identical elements. Might make a client pout.

I’m a bit confused…
Don’t get me wrong, these are decent backgrounds, but let’s not kid ourselves here – most of them are ripped from PSDTUTS tutorials and PSDTUTS Staff blog tutorials. Does this mean we can use all PSDTUTS files and slightly modify them like the above and sell on as stock?
These are some very nice backgrounds, the ones I like the best are the Futuristic Background and the Abstract Wave Background. Choosing the right background when designing can really make a difference to your design.
