This Premium Tutorial is Filled with Creative Tips

Music often serves as inspiration for my designs. The title, lyrics, or even the rhythm of the song can be used as the basis of an idea. In today’s tutorial, I will demonstrate how to create a grungy, organic composition in Photoshop using stock images and other assets. Let’s get started! Log in or Join Now to get started!

Not a fan of photo comps since they are usually more distracting than visually appealing, but this one has great aesthetics and almost flawless cohesion of elements. Well done!

    • flyingfox

it’s up to you…. i use tablet, for the sketch & doodle things i made it manually using pencil and pen

  • http://yangyangli.info/ Awesome

This seems very hard. It is rated Advanced. Picture takes 6-7 hours to create! Quote:”WTF”

    • Ren

It’s rated advanced because it IS hard.

Heaven forbid you actually spend more than 10 minutes on something.

  • Ondra

It looks lovely! I would well put it on my wall! Great Job

  • D

This is a really stunning composition, congrats :)
One thing though ; the style and positioning of the text don’t work for me. It would be so much better without text or with a less blocky font to compliment the artwork.

Is is necessary to purchase the stock images or assets used in the tutorial from a separate site, or are these included?

    • Drudoo

    Nice Work

  • richard

well…. i downloaded the source files and instructions but on the source files you can’t modify anything! it’s like… locked. so i tried to copy the bird and i just couldn’t or it wouldn’t let me.
any ideas as to why is this… and why as “premium” member don’t have access to the videos from this “tutorial”… well… then it’s NOT really premium. it should be named “BASIC” membership.
that;’s very misleading, but i guess i should talk to the admin about this issue. thanks

  • Ryan

Probably one of the best tuts on here, my only complaint is that it is not done any justice without having a screencast to show the amount of detailing and technique that was used.

Since it is more advanced and says about 5-7hrs to create… maybe doing this or a similar style screencast in smaller videos and make it a session series? Look forward to finding more tuts like this one on here.

I try many tutorials, but only few of them really work for me:P
