		<description>Figured out at least the first half of step 5:

Copy the layer (Ctrl + J). 
Choose the Path Selection Tool (A). 
copy (Ctrl + C)
Paste (Ctrl + V). 
Press the up arrow key a few times (I did 5) to move the path upwards a bit.
Set the foreground color to #505050.
Fill the path with color by pressing Alt + Backspace.
Set it to subtract style, as you did to create the hole in the circular part of the lock.</description>
