Hmm…this looks like a good tut. I was seriously considering getting a membership until I realized you guys were affiliated with Creaticca who constantly rejects my design submissions for who knows what reason other than being jerks.
Maybe your work isn’t as good as you think it is?
1st!!!

great tuts!!! <3 it
Excellent, another photo of a woman with abstract shapes and displacement filters all over it. Like there’s not enough of this being done already!

She liquified behind a premium account. FAIL on me…
It looks cool, kind of like a fusion of a lot of different tutorials up here a while back. And displacement maps are always fun!
You freakin’ guys, do you ALWAYS have to place a negative comment on this site? Please go ahead and make your own tuts or art but don’t bother this creative community. This tut looks amazing to me. Keep up the good work!
Can you read?
1. I said first off that it looks cool
2. I thought that it looked like a mix of a lot of techniques that we’ve seen before… which is a good thing, to show how they all fit together and stuff.
3. I concluded with a light hearted note that I like playing with displacement maps, because they are fun
I don’t know what you read that sounded negative, and if I accidentally made it seem that way, it was not my intention. I really like this
constructive criticism is part of any ‘creative community’. We’re not just here to pat each other on the back and tell each other how great we think they are.
Hey mate,
Criticism is encouraged across the Tuts+ Network. So as long as what you say is constructive it will be allowed.
There is however, zero tolerance to any personal attacks against anyone who uses Tuts+.
All comments are moderated but sometimes things do slip through, if you notice anything that you feel shouldn’t have been approved you’re welcome to contact us via this form

Very nice. Great work

So it seems as though realistic paint splashes are the new light streaks. Sheep.
And there you go again with that Premium temptation….
Inspired again!
Wow, that’s some intricate work. Enjoy premium members!
crap tutorial and keep teaching idiots to make more crap
Okay, so this is admittedly a TOTALLY unrelated comment to the post. Does anyone else notice the naked black chick on the pixel (creattica) advertisement? LOL wtf?!
Um…anyway, interesting effects. It seems like a cool tutorial on the effects separately but I just wonder if all the effects are necessary all together..(splash,smoke,shatter). Still cool though.
Amazing image! One of my favorites
wow nyc
Used similar effects here http://deathpen.deviantart.com/art/Petaled-Memory-150184443?q=&qo= I can’t see the whole tut, since I don’t have the appropriate membership type, but I do know that if you try to replicate something like that – first of all, you’re gonna need to have a lot of patience.
Cheers!
Same s#it different day.
