« PreviousNext »

Photoshop is an excellent tool for manipulating photographs but it can also be used as a means to create stunning digital art. This tutorial is part of a 25-part video tutorial series demonstrating everything you will need to know to start producing digital art in Photoshop. Digital Art for Beginners, by Adobe Certified Expert and Instructor, Martin Perhiniak will begin by teaching you how to draw in Photoshop. At the conclusion of this series you will know all you need to produce your own concept art and matte paintings in Photoshop.

Today’s tutorial Part 12: Create Line Art for a Medieval Robot Character Illustration will explain how to turn a rough sketch into detailed line art, which we will then turn into a fully colored final rendering in the next episode. Let’s get started!

    Martin,

Please don’t leave tutsplus, you are good teacher. I feel you have more to teach us and it would be amazing if you did more tutorials and another series. Im sure you are a busy man, but think about it :)

    Thanks.

    Hi Martin!

Love your series so far, you’re doing a great job! I can’t wait for the next part. I’m always recommending my friends to your tutorial for just drawing in general, not even just digital painting.

One question, too. Do you ever make speedpaints for say youtube? I’d love to see some sometime :) along with other people I’m sure. Plus I think it’s easier to grasp certain concepts (like hair, for example) if you’re watching someone doing it.

Can’t wait for the next part! Looking forward to what you have in stored for us :D
