Instead of using the Magic Wand tool to select the inside of the Rectangle, you better use ALT+Click on the Rectangle-layer (without Rasterizing that layer). That way you won't have that sharp and jagged corners. Also; If you put your layer-styles on the Rectangle-layer (non-rasterized!) and set the fill opacity to zero, you've got way more freedom if you ever decide to change the background image. Just some comments on Step 7.
