very nice works on your ergomedia site, keep it up ; )
nice and easy tutorial
Love this tutorial, as result I actually did create something interesting.
Not quite a “Fallen Angel” but the tutorial did inspire me to create this:
http://robertoblake.com/blog/2009/06/raven-dawn/
I thought about working feathers into it but decided they were “clutter” and that image stood well enough on its own. I will admit I did use more contemporary and “light side” effects rather than going the “dark” route that the tutorial does.
Is it possible for someone to tell what format the images are in on this download? For some reason when I try to pull up the tutorial all the images show a little box with 2 circles and a triangle, but I can view the images here.
definately inspired by season zero’s morningstar artwork … nice abstract treatment by the way!
Genius!
I don’t have money :( any other tutorial similar to this one??? it looks awsome! great! I really like it !
I thought if you join up to tuts plus you get the souce files? Why then is there just a link to a site tobuy. Not happy.
Techniques used in this tutorial.
Precise extraction techniques: Pen tool, Alpha Channels, Masking.
Tonal recoloring: correct color balancing, correct black and white conversion.
Dynamic lighting, using layers and overlays.
Vector Shapes.
Lens Flare Effect.
Radial Blur Effect.
Grunge/Cracked Texture Background.
Its fairly straightforward and you should be able to create this mostly by looking at the end result if you want to. But if someone wants I can write a tutorial with a different approach for something similar with a broader range of effects and techniques on my blog.
