    geir Benny Nystad,

try taking the photo using HDR and then duplicating your bg layer applying the Filter>Other>High Pass filter to it. change your layer mode to multiply or overlay, and change the opacity down. this will get you started.

  8. Very Nice tutorial, all the elements work well together and look natural.

  9. newsever says:

  12. elkaz says:

Just downloaded this tute and not happy that the source files are ridden with watermarks!
At least supply stocks with the files so we can try and replicate.

    • jake says:

the source is watermarkt because otherwise you could steal it and call it your own …since you have the psd file

    • Kevin says:

Usually you can’t supply stocks with a tutorial because it’s against many stock photo’s terms and conditions as PSDTuts+ receives money for the premium membership.

  13. PsdDude says:

I don’t think they will publish only premium tutorials because this mix of free and payed tuts is interesting for the users …. i like the final image with its blue tone !

The atmosphere looks a little like the one from my tut :

    http://www.psd-dude.com/tutorials/photoshop.aspx?t=lost-princess-in-the-magic-forest

maybe i will try to add it a more natural light like in this premium tut :)

  14. umm..

  16. A says:

I’m confused, excuse my ignorance, i’m a premium member but where is the actual written instructions on how to do this tutorial? When i download the zip its just a bunch of images? PLEASE HELP ME OUT

    • onlyonejaxter says:

I had the same problem- I’m a premium member and downloaded the zip file and it was just a bunch of pictures. The pictures are the tutorial- kinda sucks. there is no in depth tutorial on this one. I didn’t like this one as a tut at all.

All of our tutorials include an HTML file with the text and images that you will need to complete the tutorial. Take a look in the root folder of the download. It should be there as an index.html.

  18. noirdream says:

Hi! Thanx for the good tut but sometimes you don’t describe all steps.
For example — Step 3 of this tutorial doesn’t contain any info about changing Gradient Map blending mode to Multiply and Opacity to 40. Thnx to the Source file! But I spent a few minutes to find it out (:
And I still didn’t get how u created shadow of a bear from a Bear layer copy. In source file it looks like masked black. Or do I’m miss something?
