Changing your camera lenses out in the field can cause your sensor to accumulate unwanted dust spots that eventually show up on your images. In this quick tip tutorial we will explain how you can easily remove these dust spots from your images using just a couple of basic tools available in Photoshop CS5. Let’s get started!

Just so you know, the description says “the field can cause your senor”, when it should be sensor. Unless of course you have a señor. =p

A good tutorial, thanks for your hard work. Several little things in here get in the way of your main point about sensor dust. Things like, changing brush size using the bracket key and creating a new blank layer using the icon at the bottom of the layers pallete, are all concepts for the begineer series of tutorials on Tutsplus where that stuff is explained in great detail. Those things are just getting in the way here. If you need to extend the tutorial length or want to make it more helpful I would have liked to see more about how to deal with sensor dust and the camera. I have sensor dust and I never really knew what was casuing the little marks on my photos until watching this video but now I have to go to another website to lookup how to clean my sensor. Is this something I can do? If so, it would make a great tutorial video addition to this tutorial here. Maybe I must take it in for repair, how much does that cost typically?

I’m going to be an ass – not to diminish the hard work he put into this video but first, make your video a higher res so it looks better at full screen. Second, use Lightroom vs. Photoshop to make photo adjustments.
