Why are you publishing so many tutorials using other programs than PS ? I really don’t want to buy this program so this tutorial is useless to me :(

mary… this site is not only for your personal purpose only.
there are others out there aswell and we appreciate this tut because we like diversity and learning new stuff. There are countless other great PS-only tuts on this site – so profit of those that ARE usefull to you, but if you ever want/need to learn how to integrate 3D…. maybe you’ll change your mind. Chances are – because in real life designers are often forced to use more than one single software to accomplish a piece of work. only very very few people out there could stay in business with just one single skill like psd on their hands! times have changed…

also there are free 3D packages out there (blender), you could test a trial of cinema or check out autodesk! if you are a student of design, architecture or technology you can download fullversions (no commercial use) of their softwares all valid for 3 years for free! aren’t that great news?

so no reason to complain! :)

..oh and dozens of free 3D modells online! not in the mood to build them yourself? just download something from a free 3D library…

Absolutely true! Cinema 4d is an awesome tool and I love it. It opens a whole new realm of design.
My site has some tuts on c4d if you’re interested.

Looks like a really cool tut!

All 3D modelling programs operate on the same principles. These methods can easily be ported to Blender or any other free 3D modeler without headaches.

  • Fred Davila

This is awesome. Thanks for the tutiorial!
