Final Product What You'll Be Creating

Many of you may use 3D applications to help you generate or extrude text for your designs. While 3D applications are always an acceptable solution, many times, Photoshop can accomplish the same effect without the help of third-party apps. In this Psd Premium tutorial, author Wojciech Pijecki will create 3D lettering using Photoshop CS5 and some stock photography. This tutorial is available exclusively to Premium Members. Another floating rock tutorial

I hate to say it, but this doesn’t look like a tutorial that explores many new techniques, and to be honest the result is not very impressive to me. This makes me think I’m doing well to save my money by not subscribing to the Premium tuts.

The main tutorial subject is how to create the scrap metal 3d text. This floating rock is just an optional addition, which I found suitable here.

    Thanks

    Cool Work.

It doesn’t seem to be very clever, turning a mountain upside down and then trying to sell it as a floating rock. You can dodge and burn as much as you want, the rock still is lit from below (when flipped) which doesn’t correspond with the letters.

The letters don’t leave an impression, but that is probably just my personal taste. Maybe it’s the environment, they look so “lost” ;D on that rock. A scrapyard would have provided a better scenery.

Overall a weak end result in my eyes and an example of missed opportunities.

    Sorry

I have to say I was really dissapointed about the outcome. This definetly was NOT something we have used to see from Wojciech Pijecki.
