Adobe Announces Pen Tool and Layer Panel Enhancements for Photoshop CS6

In Photoshop 13.1, Adobe made some minor tweaks to the Pen Tool as well as the Layer Panel. You can now adjust an anchor point of a path by holding down the spacebar. In addition, the Layer Panel has also been improved so when you merge several layers, the merged layer will now take on the name you’ve given to that layer as opposed to just giving it the same name as the topmost layer. Martin Perhiniak will explain.

How to Get This Update

To get this update, customers can follow the following instructions.

  1. In Photoshop, choose Help > Updates
  2. The Adobe Application Manager will launch. Select Adobe Photoshop or and choose “Update.”

    As a customer who uses Adobe products since more than 10 years, this behaviour of Adobe against users with perpetual licenses is very hard to understand. I spent thousands of dollars for my licences and by doing so, paid in advance for their services. Not a very clever move by them, and I will never cange to a cloud based service, especially after the recent license expiration issues and the reaction of Adobe about it. Support? Give me a laugh…..
