This Premium Tutorial is Filled with Creative Tips

Sometimes a photo will ignite your imagination and inspire you. When I first saw the stock image of the model used in this tutorial, her embryonic-like pose instantly conjured up thoughts of an out of the body experience or a lucid dream, where our consciousness becomes separated from our bodies and travels to a higher plain of existence. In today’s tutorial we will demonstrate how to create a cosmic, dreamlike composition using some advanced Photoshop techniques. Let’s get started!

I like those spheres, they look great! They kind of remind me of spheres that Alex made in his last tut with the “work + play” piece.

  2. dddd says:

he messed up her feed so bad…

You’re right! Ha! I didn’t even notice at first sight.

      Must be the
      the double word syndrom.

Your brain just reads over it without recognizing.

Now I count two arms and four legs overall. As far as remember biology in school, that makes her an insect doesn’t it?

      Presumingly a lady bug ;)

    • Melody says:

I thought that too, but if you look at the original picture there isn’t that much of a difference. Her feet were pretty weird looking/positioned to begin with! =P

  3. Paul says:

I like the techniques used for replacing the hair. Very interesting techniques used on the cosmic balls (that sounds a bit dirty and godly, haha!) Thanks for the tutorial, Mark!

  4. Childesign says:

    Premium…mumble…mumble :P

  9. Digital Ink says:

The heck is with the ridiculous amount of toes? More than 10 = unnecessary. Still like the final product.

  10. Alfonse says:

Design is not design anymore look this thing now this are not tutorials are fake designers making the same shit over and over again the real art is dead fault of this tipe of things

  11. Bhushan says:

Actually i think this is a creative work.
    images also very beautiful.

  12. Wow.. Amazing compostition.. I’m love in it :) Thanks for the tutorial.

  13. Mike Viking says:

Is it me or has she got 6 toes on her right foot?

    • Melody says:

I think the original positioning of her foot makes the end of the foot near the pinky toe to look like an additional toe, and the way that the designer tried to manipulate it so that the fractal was over the foot just kinda..highlights it in an unattractive way..

It’s funny, all this talk about toes makes you wonder where your eyes go and what becomes the real focus of a design…[presuming a possible post from this topic] Grab it before I do! hahaha..

The additional toes were intentional – remember, It’s an out of the body experience or a lucid dream, where our consciousness becomes separated.

I’m sure it’s a nice tutorial, but it follows one of Cyrill’s pieces pretty closely….
